Dr. Joseph Lee is passionate about providing the best care with a superlative experience. His patient-focused philosophy enables him to deliver evidence-based compassion and care that is tailored to individual patients. He will take the time to understand every patient’s unique condition and circumstances and help them explore their options for improved oral health.
Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Lee was inspired to become an oral surgeon to take on the fascinating challenges the field presents. From beginning to end, Dr. Lee enjoys the positive changes he can deliver for his patients.
Dr. Lee graduated from Brooklyn College with a bachelor’s degree in history before going on to Stony Brook Dental School.
Dr. Lee completed his oral surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. There, he was trained in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dentoalveolar treatment, implant placement, orthognathic surgery, oral pathology treatment, and trauma surgery. He has also undergone extensive training to provide anesthesia in an outpatient setting.
Dr. Lee is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Lee regularly teaches dental school residents at the Danbury Hospital General Practice Residency.
In his spare time, Dr. Lee likes spending time with his family. He also enjoys many hobbies, such as hiking, running, reading, and trying new restaurants.
