We want to help students in the Danbury and New Milford area save for their college education. This year, Greater Connecticut Oral & Dental Implant Surgery will provide free wisdom teeth removal procedures to four local students to help offset some of these expenses, like textbooks.
Jazmin, 23, from Sandy Hook, is a master’s student at Mercy College. Jazmin wore braces for 3 years when she was a teenager and does not want her wisdom teeth to come in and move her teeth out of alignment.
Cindy, 23, from Patterson, NY, is a graduate student at the University of Bridgeport and currently works as a non-paid intern. Both she and her family have faced financial hardships because of the pandemic, especially after her father was in the ICU with COVID-19 for more than 2 weeks.
Karim, 23, from Danbury, is a first generation student at Western Connecticut State University. Karim has always worked hard, including having two jobs in high school, and has worked seven jobs while in college. He has noticed that his wisdom teeth are now growing in and are beginning to cause problems with his other teeth.
Frank, 21, from Danbury, is a student at Western Connecticut State University. Frank’s dentist had recommended that he have his wisdom teeth removed because of how close they were to his nerves. With the costs of college adding up, he wasn’t sure how he could pay for the procedure.
We look forward to helping these students and their families save more for college by providing free wisdom teeth removal procedures to them. Follow Grace and Tessa's treatment journeys on Facebook and Instagram.
